Skincare is important, even when on vacation, so don’t take a vacation on your regular skincare routine! Of course, traveling with full-sized products while on vacation can be a huge hassle and a huge waste of space. My beauty bag gets filled up way too quickly that way…and that upsets me.
Luckily, since I do love skincare products, I note which stores and online beauty shops include samples with purchases–and use them for travel! Samples are perfect for a short-term vacation trips, because they’re small and they fit easily in your luggage. Furthermore, if you’re flying, you don’t have to worry about the liquid-limit. After you use these samples, you can just throw them away–how hassle-free is that?!
So, which beauty stores include free samples? Actually, there’s quite a few! Besides Sephora and Tatcha, the following beauty shops provide a random assortment of beauty samples:
However, if you’re looking for more control over what you receive, many online Korean beauty stores sell trial/sample sets. These sets, which often include products for your entire skincare routine, can last 1-2 weeks or longer, and many cost only a few dollars! You can find them here:
If you already have a collection of samples at home, I’d suggest bringing along at least a sample for cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF. However, if you can add on samples for toners and serums, that can only add to your vacation skincare routine.
What are your skincare tips for vacations? Do you use samples, too?
