Grad school’s been crazy, and taking care of my skin hasn’t been on the top of my to do list. Wow. It seems like forever since I’ve had a breath of fresh air–I guess grad school does that to you. Especially when earlier this week, I started my clinical rotations as a first-year Anesthesiologist Assistant student, and that means arriving at the hospital at 5:30am to set up for the day! How does that make the mornings?
One word: CRAZY.

Although we’ve heard so many great things about yoga, doing it at home rarely seems like a challenging enough workout for it to be worth our time. Even when we tried Jillian Michaels and her Yoga Meltdown series, it didn’t feel quite right. Although it was definitely more challenging than any poses we could manage on our own, it didn’t feel really personal–Jillian seems more like she’s talking at you, not with you and that’s more or less the nature of many video workouts. This is why we really enjoyed Mixx Yoga, located in Newport Beach, California.
